When $100M+ is apparently not enough
2019-02-13 13:20:56

When Angela Ahrendts was hired in 2014 she was given over 790,000 (113,334 before 7:1 split) shares of stock as a signing bonus. Five years later, she's leaving. Guess when her shares fully vested... after four years. Guess she decided to stay one year past the vesting date just to make it look like she cared about something other than the money. Can you say take the money and run?

iPhone sales are down - Duh
2019-01-06 10:24:42

It really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that iPhone sales have been decreasing. How many years does Tim & gang think that people are going to keep upgrading before enthusiasm wains? The iPod went through a similar decline due mostly to saturation, but also a lack of new features to keep people buying and upgrading.

Yes Virginia, Apple does listen... Sometimes
2018-10-31 11:57:46

Color our waxy-selves surprised at the product announcements at yesterdays "More in the Making" special event. We were totally ready to bash everything announced; but don't worry, we don't like everything. There's always room to find complaints.

No Clippy, I don't want to update
2018-10-16 11:53:03

Maybe it's just us here at the Waxy Apple that are annoyed by the California fruit companies latest attempts to compel users to update their OS, but we assume not. This is not only a problem for computers, but also the iOS devices as well.

Macworld speaks, Apple Listens?
2018-04-30 17:19:57

Let’s hope that Apple is not making decisions based upon what Macworld says. But it seems as if Macworld speaks and Apple does their bidding. We have been giving our comments on products for some time now and Apple completely ignores us and continues to put out sub-par products. We want Apple to improve their products, not kill them off. We don’t believe for a minute that Macworld has this kind of sway over Apple, but we wish they would use their influence better if they do.

Goodbye 32-bit Road
2018-04-23 11:28:35

It is time to say goodbye to 32-bit applications within Mac OS. At some point the need may arise to abandon all of the 64-bit apps that your children love and embrace the goodness that is 128-bits or maybe someday 256-bit. This should be part of the normal improvement cycle that computers and their users go through every decade or so, but Apple has made this one a pain in the arse.

No more Intel???
2018-04-17 14:39:37

Last week much of the Apple news cycle was taken up by a report by Bloomberg that stated our favorite fruity company was going to ditch Intel processors for their own homegrown CPU's. While this is intriguing it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and we'll explain why.

On-again, Off-again: Apple Servers
2018-02-16 11:13:51

In Apple's continued heritage of never knowing a good thing when they have it or whether to dedicate resources to something that isn't as profitable as they would like, Apple has once again gotten out of the server market.

2018-01-14 18:19:07

A lot has been written lately in both Apple related sites and traditional news sites about Apple slowing down older iPhones to conserve their battery.

tvOS 11 - Come'on Apple. Get a Clue.
2017-12-15 11:52:33

We had a lot of opinions when tvOS first came out several months ago, but decided that we would wait until the first update to post anything, hoping that issues we saw in dot zero would be resolved in dot one.

Enough of X, How about an XI?
2017-09-13 12:40:37

Yesterday Apple announced a new iPhone - the iPhone X and it shows the complete lack of imagination that the companies marketing department has. X, 10 or Ten how ever you want to write or pronounce it - we're tired of it. It's now a worn-out cliche of everything being 10. We want to know when Apple is going to 'crank it up to Eleven'.

AppleTV 4 - Part 2
2017-08-12 16:55:31

We hate to continue bashing on the AppleTV, but if Apple is going to ignore it, not take it seriously and put out shite, we’re going to mention it.

Bone Picking - Angela Ahrendts
2017-08-10 18:12:17

The 60+ Million dollar woman - at least that's what she got as a signing bonus. But what has she actually done to deserve this money. Has she improved retail sales? Has she improved the life or incomes of Apple Retail employees?

Bone Picking - Tim Cook
2017-08-10 14:50:30

Tim, we like you and have little against you, but you're not Steve. Luckily we don't expect you to be Steve. But the problem is, Apple needs 'a' Steve.

Bone Picking - Phil Schiller
2017-08-10 14:40:33

"Can't innovate anymore, my ass". These words were in regard to the 2013 Mac Pro (also known here as) the Mac Amateur, a machine that eliminated all the features of the previous Mac Pro and PowerMac lines, just to create a tiny, beautiful computer in their place.

iPod
2017-07-27 18:12:38

I bought an iPod when they were first announced, not even having a real purpose for it. It actually took months before even understanding what it could be used for and how useful it was. It was just a cool thing that Apple created so I had to have one.

Mac Pro Wish-List
2017-06-10 14:26:57

As mentioned in an earlier post, we've put together a list of things that we would like to see in the next 'true' Mac Pro. We won't call this list complete, but it is a pretty good start to making a machine that the name 'Mac Pro' is worthy of.

Mac Amateur
2017-04-05 14:18:15

Because Apple has performed a very public mea culpa in regards to this computer, we will hold our remarks until they have truly replaced it. Will the new computer be able to once again take the mantle of Mac Pro or will it continue as the second generation Mac Amateur?

Let's Talk AppleTV
2017-04-02 13:29:35

Apple long touted the Apple TV as a hobby, sadly it still continues to be just that. Its become the hobby that gets mostly ignored but every now and again. When it is once again touched, no one can remember what it did or how it did it.
